Magnus August better known as Cashmere Cat has been catching my ear and working his way into my playlist with his creative blend of abstract and bass heavy melodies and the ability to fuse genres. Originally hitting the scene as a turntablist representing Norway in the 2008-2009 DMC World DJ Championships as DJ FINAL he has since made his mark in the EDM community and change his name to CASHMERE CAT in 2012. The approach to R&B is not what is expected but i like the different sounds that he is bringing to the table. Check out some of my favorite sounds from this cat...

SOUNDS GOOD: DISCLOSURE
The Uk Duo Disclosure first caught my ear when I heard their single "Latch" every since then I have be a big fan of these DJ/Producers. The sounds that these two are putting out In my opinion are some of the best I've heard in a while. I have a love hate relationship with EDM as of late but the subtle but some what bass heavy tracks have all the elements of great music. Apparently I'm not the only one that feels this way, word on the street Mary J Blige will be working with them real soon according to her twitter "@MaryJBlige: More to disclose later today

Outkast Renunited
One of my favorite Hip Hop duos of all time are planning on getting back in the studio and not only putting out solo albums of their own but will be going on a 40 date tour and putting together another album as Outkast. "ATLiens" was my very first tape that I purchased as a kid and is still my all time favorite album from them. The last LP that we heard from theme two as Outkast was a soundtrack to a movie that had a theme even though it was a dope soundtrack I was still waiting what is finally in creation. I will be sure to keep you posted on the latest from Andre Three Stacks and Sir Lucious Left Foot....
